We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a ceramic tile apprentice! As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced ceramic tilers, learning the skills and techniques to become a skilled certified ceramic tile installer. This is a hands-on apprenticeship that will provide you with practical experience in the tile installation industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of surfaces for tile installation, including measuring, cutting and leveling surfaces
- Learning to mix and apply adhesives, grout, and other materials required for installation
- Work with experienced tile setters to lay and cut tiles in accordance with specifications and design plans
- Learn to use tools and equipment required for tile installation, such as tile cutters, saws and hand tools
- Assist with clean-up and removal of debris after tile installation is complete
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 pounds
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Valid BC driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
Availability:
- 40 hours/week
- Monday – Friday
