5 Gen Construction is an established general construction company in operation since 2017. We offer interior and exterior general construction services and metal and shingle roofing services.
We are seeking an experienced roofer to join our team. Experience in both shingle and metal roofing an asset but not a necessity. This position can be filled either as a recurring, seasonal (spring-fall) position, or in combination with work as a labourer for the general construction department in the off-season (pay rate for labourer will differ from the pay offered when roofing). Options for part-time or full-time work will be discussed during the interview process.
The successful candidate will:
*be comfortable working at heights, in all weather and ideally have fall-arrest training/certification
*have a valid class 5 driver’s license and be comfortable moving/parking work trailers
* be able to pass a criminal record check
*have their own belt with hand tools, steel-toed boots, and all weather work wear
*be an independent and organized self-starter, who is also a capable team member with excellent communication skills
*maintain a professional and courteous demeanour on-site with clients, sub-trades, builders and on/off site with their co-workers and their employer
*be motivated when working alone or as part of a team
The compensation for this job is competitive and includes:
*Hourly wage including STAT holiday pay and overtime pay, wage is experience dependent
