At Birdhouse Roofing Ltd, we’re dedicated to delivering exceptional roofing services while prioritizing a healthy work-life balance for our team. For the remainder of the 2024 roofing season (Nov/Dec 2024), we’re seeking motivated individuals to join us working approximately 30-40 hours per week in Fernie and the surrounding area.

 Job Description:

• Clean and maintain work areas regularly to promote safety and efficiency on the job site.
• Assist in installing and repairing roofing systems on residential properties, using various materials such as asphalt shingles and metal sheets.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including loading/unloading materials.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as cutting, nailing, and measuring materials accurately.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate effectively with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
• Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.

Job Requirements:

• Previous roofing or construction experience is not required for the Labourer position, but candidates must be willing to learn from and assist co-workers.
• Experienced Roofers must have at least 4 years roofing experience with a reputable organization.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift more than 45 kg (110 lbs) and perform manual tasks.
• Clean BC Driver’s license preferred.
• Successful completion of Fall Protection and WHMIS training required (employer-paid).
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
